White tea, like all the principle tea varieties (black, green, oolong, etc), comes from the Chinese Camellia Sinensis plant. Using just the young leaves and buds of the plant, this is the least processed of all the traditional teas, being only lightly oxidised once the leaves and buds have dried in the sun. This delicate process helps to preserve much of the tea’s highly beneficial natural antioxidants, as well as leaving a clean, fragrant and somewhat fruity flavour. Light and fresh tasting, this is perfect tea for the mornings or afternoons.
